How to make Christmas Cards with Creative Memories All That Glitters Card Kit!

Cardmaking has never been easier with

The Kit comes in a beautiful keepsake box and includes:

Cards
Envelopes
Embellishments
Die-cuts and  Pre-cut Card Pieces
Red, Green and Gold Glitter Enamel Sticker
Roll of Gold Washi Tape
Full-Color Instructions
PLUS 170 BONUS embellishments!!

I was able to make a ton of extra card and tags!!

Here are  the 12 Christmas Cards I made with the Kit:

Then because I had so much left over with the BONUS Embellishments,
I purchased a couple of Blank Card Kits to use with my leftovers
and I also used scrap paper to make a bevy of Christmas Gift Tags!

Here are some of the ideas I came up with just using the leftovers (I didn't have to cut anything! Just stick on the leftover pieces however I wanted!):

I used the Gold Washi Tape to make a border on these ones...the Washi is so beautiful and I still have a bunch leftover!

I love the gold metallic background on these cards. Again, this is all from the leftover supplies that came in the All That Glitters Card Kit. I didn't have to use any of my own paper!

Then I went crazy making a bunch of gift tags!
So much Fun!!

So the "extra" Supplies I recommend using along with the Kit(s) are:

Foam Squares
Tape Runner
Ribbon (for the Tags)
Hole Punch (for the tags)
Personal Trimmer or Tag Punch (for the tags)

Easy paper party favor

Use leftover scraps to make these darling little treat envelopes

First start with a 6" x 6" square piece of double-sided scrapbook paper
I cut my 12x12 paper into 4 pieces but you can use your scraps too

I made a folding template from a piece of white cardstock
I keep this in my scrap bag so I can whip up some little treat envelopes anytime I need them

This is what your paper should look like after you fold it:

Next fold it in half with pockets facing out like this:

Punch a hole through the top:

Tie with Ribbon and add some treats
The best "flat" treats to use are a Tea Bag on one side
and a piece of Ghirardelli chocolate on the other side

For this example I just used the chocolates I had on hand but I prefer the Ghirardelli squares because they fit perfectly in the pocket and don't slide out!

Enjoy and
Happy Scrappin'

How to make a School Scrapbook

How to make a School Album:

1. Start with a Creative Memories Album
or any album but I love Creative Memories albums because they are
photo-safe, high quality, and they are Made in the U.S.A.

2. Choose either White Refill Pages
Or Fast2Fab Refill Pages
Fast2Fab Refills are pre-designed so all you do is add your photos.
You can add additional embellishments as desired but it's not necessary if you don't have the time or desire. It's the same price as plain Refill Pages so it's like getting all the paper and decorations for free!

There are lots of different designs available, for a school album I recommend
this Fast2Fab "Essentials" Refill Pack:

3.  Print your Photos

Suggested photos to print/memorabilia to collect:
a. First Day of School
b.  Last Day of School
c.  Photo with teacher
d. Special Events (such as jog-a-thon, harvest festival, science fair)
e. Sports team and individual photo
f. Music recital or any other extracurricular activity they enjoyed that year
g. sample of their handwriting
h. art project (since these tend to be extra large, I take a photo of the art and put that in their scrapbook)
i. friend pictures
j. a picture of their class
k. favorite foods
l. ribbons or certificates
etc.

4. Gather your supplies
My suggested favorites are:

Personal Trimmer

Tape Runner Adhesive:
If you want to get creative and add some paper, stickers and embellishments,
here is a fun Essentials Collection to get started with:

Of course, I highly suggest you get some Creative Memories pens
to write down important dates and reflections
5. Have fun!
Stick your photos into the album
You can do each page by theme or you can do your album chronologically,
there is no "right" way to do it.
You will love having your child's school memories all in one place!
It is super fun when your child graduates from high school to have these albums out on display. I can't tell you how many of my daughter's friends commented how they wished they had a scrapbook like that! Especially when you can see the progression of time by flipping through the pages. The photo journaling is so fun to read too!

6. If you're still feeling creative, you can use your leftover scraps for more projects at home or for the classroom, teacher gifts, etc...  The possibilities are endless once you get started.

I hope you enjoyed these ideas.

Creative Memories Maritime Collection

I love Creative Memories new Maritime Collection!
Living in the Pacific Northwest, it's just under 2 hours for me to get to the coast.
It's usually hazy gray and these colors are perfect for all those fun beach photos!

Here's a throw-back photo from one of our trips:

My little guy was soo little!  Trying the skim board while daddy chases after him in case he falls, haha! Big sister cheering him on!!

Those of you on the east coast have those hazy days as well....
not palm trees and tropics
but whales and lobster
anchors and lighthouses
